SMILLA - retro pop with attitude, hook and heart The singer from the acclaimed a cappella pop band MEDLZ on her own musical path.

SMILLA is the alter ego of singer and songwriter Silvana Mehnert. For more than two decades, she shaped the German music scene as the voice of the celebrated a cappella pop band MEDLZ and as a guest singer in renowned productions. Since 2025 she has been going her own musical way. SMILLA stands for German retro pop with soul, groove and attitude. Her songs are playful and profound, charming and direct - like a diary and a dance floor in one. Between funky guitar licks, warm Rhodes sounds and clear hooks, they create a sound that moves forward with a lightness that has become rare in the German pop world. Her voice? Multi-layered, honest, recognizable. Her songs stick with you and do something to you. They tell of the courage to rediscover oneself, of the beauty of imperfection, of silence, writer's block and of the pure joy of dancing. Sometimes loud, sometimes quiet, but always with a clear pulse. SMILLA's energy hits the spot live. Their concerts are not polished entertainment, but a real experience: warm, courageous, danceable. "You find new paths when you walk..." - and SMILLA follows theirs with style, soul and plenty of pop flair.
