Klosterbrüder (Magdeburg group) feat. Sylvia Oswald
The KLOSTERBRÜDER were founded back in 1963 by students from Magdeburg. A joint "Klosterbrüder & Stern Combo Meißen-Tour" under the name "FUSION" was the concert event in the spring/summer of 1975. Unfortunately, the name KLOSTERBRÜDER and the large fan base that constantly accompanied the band at their concerts across the GDR repeatedly prompted the cultural functionaries to threaten the band with a professional ban. For fear of this and under pressure from the Ministry of Culture, the name "Klosterbrüder" had to be changed to the group "Magdeburg" at the end of 1975. 25 years later - on January 14, 2000 - the "Klosterbrüder" began their comeback with a sensational concert in Magdeburg. Concerts with the Stern Combo Meißen, Lift, Electra, Renft, Reform, Karussell, Hans die Geige, Gipsy, Sweet, The Lords, Manfred Mann`s Earthband, Monokel, Quaster & Friends followed. The fans always ask for the old hits. These include "Was wird morgen sein", "Wenn ich zwei Leben hätt`", "Verkehrte Welt", "Kalt und heiß", "Lied einer alten Stadt" and "Fieber". Of course, the KLOSTERBRÜDER also interpret newer compositions and blues & rock classics.
