Special exhibition at the National Park Center The Elbe beaver - rebel of biodiversity

The Naturschutzstation Biberhof Torgau, together with the UNGESTALT. Kollektiv für Kommunikationsdesign has created a traveling exhibition on the Elbe beaver in Leipzig's Tapetenwerk in order to convey knowledge about the beaver and to better promote acceptance of this ecologically valuable, but not conflict-free species. The exhibition covers four thematic areas: it begins by presenting the beaver as a remarkable animal, its appearance and its special characteristics. The exhibition then looks at the diverse and tense relationship between humans and beavers. The third part of the exhibition emphasizes the ecological potential of this animal species, which creates new habitats not only for itself but also for a variety of other animal and plant species. The fourth section of the exhibition deals with issues surrounding the management of conflicts that this habitat creation triggers in agriculture and forestry;
