Production by the association "Pirna schreibt e. V."

In this production, Franz Kafka and Erich Kästner meet in a coffee house. The waitress, who has always dreamed of serving prominent guests in her coffee house, is immediately enthusiastic. However, this changes when she fails to get the two guests excited about each other, and especially because they take turns presenting their texts.

A tribute to Erich Kästner and Franz Kafka.

Kafka's works are known as "anti-fairy tales" because they take up familiar fairy tale motifs but reject traditional hope and redemption, instead presenting a grim and often tragic reality. Erich Kästner wrote several fairytale-like stories.

Duration: approx. 1 hour
