Şuanda is the Turkish expression for "in the moment" and the motto of the fresh-faced trio. Şuanda brings traditional music from Eastern Europe and Asia Minor into the present for a moment. Based on klezmer and its connections to surrounding musical traditions, the group presents a varied program of energetic music from Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Greece and Turkey, tracing the history of long-ago movements of peoples.
