The guests are two girls from Pirna - Pauline and Friederike Herold. The sisters have already played in the museum's chapter house on various occasions as children. Between visits to their family, the two highly talented and renowned musicians, who now tour throughout Europe, have been invited to give a concert in their home town. Pauline Herold (violin) and Friederike Herold (cello) will perform together with the young Dresden pianist Nikolaus Branny. He has already worked with various orchestras and is a welcome performer at the chamber evenings of the Dresden Staatskapelle. The concert begins with the B flat major Trio, KV 502 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The composer wrote six Viennese piano trios in two groups of three, the first of which was composed in 1786 and the second in 1778. The B flat major trio is considered the highlight of the group of three from 1786. In the second half of the concert, the musicians switch to the Romantic period with the Piano Trio No. 1 in B flat major op. 8 by Johannes Brahms.
