Canalettoblick - View of Sonnenstein Castle and Pirna Old Town
The Burglehnpfad runs along the slope above the right bank of the Elbe and connects several striking viewpoints over a short distance. The view extends over the roofs of Pirna, the towers of St. Mary's Church and the winding course of the Elbe.
Hiking tip:
The location at the transition from the urban area to the vineyards of the Elbe Valley also marks the beginning of the wine-growing region of Saxony. The first vineyards along the route provide an insight into a centuries-old cultural landscape.
All viewpoints are easily accessible. The path is paved, mostly flat and equipped with benches.
