Play: Tom Quaas The whole Faust - slightly abridged

Short facts

Tom QuaasThe Complete Faust - Slightly Abridged Goethe's Faust - performed as a scenic work and read with the magic of the voice.

Tom Quaas has undertaken nothing less than to present the entire work, slightly abridged. Under the direction of Thomas Förster (known from the productions at Scharfenberg Castle), the famous lines will be performed as a scenic work and read with the magic of the voice. Puppetry, elements of black light theater and music by composer Peter Andreas create a world of its own and a unique listening and viewing experience. Tom Quaas is joined on stage by all-rounder Paula Henke.

"Tom Quaas is both Faust and Mephisto, a split personality who seems to be talking to himself. But how: The actor often changes character just by turning his body, murders and seduces, demands and despairs. The way Quaas works with gestures, facial expressions and voice is magnificent." (Sächsische Zeitung)

The versatile actor and director has worked at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden, the Deutsches Theater Berlin and the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin. He can be seen regularly at the Dresden Societaetstheater and the Theaterkahn and at Batzdorf Castle near Meissen, where he is at home.

The play is also suitable for young people from grade 8 upwards!
