  • 10:00 - 17:00
  • Families/children, Festivity,…

As it does every year, Porschendorfer Mill is opening its old mill doors on Mill Day to share a little of the charm of mill life.

The mill looks back on a history spanning over 500 years. Today, it is home to a farm shop and a workshop producing edible oils from regional ingredients. On a tour of the mill, you can learn fascinating facts about the life of millers in days gone by and see for yourself, through numerous original machines and tools, how flour for bakers is produced from the grain harvested from the fields.

The programme includes:

- Guided tours of the mill
- An explanation of water power
- Sale of oils from the workshop
- Ice cream and other treats/drinks
- From midday, horses give children rides through the garden
- Pottery stall

We recommend travelling by public transport. For those arriving by car, there are parking spaces in the direction of Dürrröhrsdorf, near the Wesenitztal Agricultural Cooperative.
