Nirvana in the name of Cobain - The band from Usti nad OrlikSupport: Automatic Dead Drive
2026 marked the 32nd anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death and the mourning for his untimely death is as great as the first day after. Like the Sex Pistols, there is only one relevant album: "Nevermind" (OK, there is also "Bleach" and "in utero"). And the second musical milestone is "Unplugged in new York". Since 2012, the band from Usti nad Orlik has been following in the footsteps of Nirvana, calling themselves In the name of Cobain. They play around 40 shows a year in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and have now conquered the German-speaking world. They play "Smells like teen spirit", "Come as you are", "Lithium", "Polly"... with the same energy as Cobain & Co in the early 90s. The repertoire includes almost all Nirvana songs and Kurt Cobain would certainly have liked the fact that this band features a woman on drums!
Automatic Dead Drive is an energetic band from the Netherlands that breathes new life into 90s grunge and gets the audience perfectly warmed up for the main act.
