Concert: Blues`n Boogie Night with 2HOT & Friends

Drummer Mario Meusel and pianist Christian Schöbel have been enriching the European old-time jazz scene with their very special sound for 30 years now. This is peppered with lush bluenotes, sweat-inducing boogie and swinging escapades. As a lively grooving all-purpose weapon alongside Tom Pauls, the two have also been causing a sensation in Pirna for years, transforming it into a pulsating honky tonk hall at their first concert in Q24. The motto of the evening is the program, because 2Hot like to share the stage with musician friends from the scene. For example with Christian Willisohn, with whom they have played numerous concerts together. The pianist and singer, who lived in New Orleans for a long time, elicits soulful ballads from the piano just as effortlessly as earthy sounds from the Delta. By inviting their favorite band, the Perky Pollyvocs, 2Hot are fulfilling a long-cherished wish. It swings mightily! The trio garnish their sometimes mischievous vocals on double bass, drums and guitar with borrowings from doo-wop, gospel and hillibilly. 6 musicians: 6 friends. A hot session is guaranteed.
