Blues`n Boogie Night with 2HOT & Friend, special guest Alex TeichSaturated bluenotes, sweaty boogie
Mario Meusel and Christian Schöbel serve up rich bluenotes and sweat-inducing boogie on drums and piano and have developed their own sound, which is influenced by the sound ideals of boogie woogie dives, house rent parties and honky tonk pubs, as well as by musical encounters and friendships with other greats of the scene.
From the very beginning, the search for authentic, honest music-making has been at the forefront, and their own discoveries and preferences have been fused into an unmistakable sound in over 3000 joint concerts.
The most traditional impulse can be read and heard in the name: Hot-Music is one of the earliest designations of playing styles from a time when the term "swing" did not yet exist, although the music was already being celebrated.
Meusel and Schöbel are digging at the roots of early jazz. 2Hot have founded their own festivals such as the Dresden Boogie Woogie Summer, and boogie nights are still one of the highlights of the concert season.
For the premiere evening at Q24, they have invited guests Marek Hering on double bass, singer Annette Hannemann and singer and pianist Alexander Teich (Firebirds, Wirtschaftswunderband) to expand the bluesy grooving concept of the two exceptional musicians with their skills.
Welcome to a Pirna Blues`n Boogie Night par exzellence.
