Studio Gallery „Ansichtssache“at the Malerweg Trail in Pirna
Heike Küchler und Claudia Pinkau are happy to welcome you to their studio gallery “Ansichtssache” in the town of Pirna.
Inspired by Canaletto’s Pirna and Saxon Switzerland’s Malerweg Trail (Painters’ Trail) they opened their studio directly in Pirna’s old town centre, at No 5 Kirchplatz next to Marienkirche Church. Come in and explore their recent works or look over their shoulders as they work.
Heike Küchler has specialized in graphic printing whereas Claudia Pinkau favours water colour painting. Always on Fridays between 2 and 9 p.m. they invite interested visitors to have a look around and browse their “Open Studio”. You would like to release your own creative energies? No problem. Attend one of the classes they regularly organize.

Open Printing Workshop
Heike Küchler offers an open printing workshop every second Saturday of the month. You can try your hand in linocut or woodcut. Design your own relief block (of postcard size for beginners) and print it by hand or with the help of an old printing press.
Costs: 10 € per hour + materials exceeding the first block/paper/paint
Dates: every 2nd Saturday of a month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Water Colour Workshop
Claudia Pinkau holds beginner classes teaching the basics of water colour painting in a 2 to 3-hour course. The most common techniques, wet-in-wet, wet-on-dry and layering water colours, are demonstrated and you can try them yourself in the studio with easy motifs such as flowers or landscapes.
A starter kit of materials is provided, but of course you can bring your own painting materials if you have your own water colour paints and paper, base pad, brush. The classes can be extended as you like!
Costs: 10 € per hour including a starter kit of materials provided by the gallery
Dates: Fridays, 3 p.m. (4 p.m.) – 6 p.m. or on agreement
