The short circular hike starts centrally at a beautiful park and leads over a winding path (red line, E3; ridge trail/Hrebenovka) to the first highlight of the route: the viewpoint on Quaderberg. Here, the town of Děčín lies at your feet. Then it continues to the next viewpoint, the Schneeberg view. As the name suggests, from the individually crafted wooden bench you have a great view of the Hoher Schneeberg on the left side of the Elbe in good weather. Not far away is already the third viewpoint - the Elbwarte. The view from the observation pavilion lives up to the name "Elbe canyon." The sandstone pavilion, restored at the end of 2017, is a jewel from 1890. It was built according to architectural principles, designed by the builder Carl Hönig. Then it continues, now somewhat downhill. Before it goes uphill again, there is a covered hiking rest area with the possibility to exercise on outdoor equipment. Passing a memorial obelisk and a small cemetery with a chapel, it continues through dense woods (green arrow). Here you meet another beautiful rest area with a pond (Přístřešek nad Loubím). Finally, you follow a narrow path above the Elbe until the starting point is reached again. The last few meters through the park are quite steep. A nature trail in Czech (green diagonal line) runs along here.
Hiking boots are recommended. No special equipment necessary.
No refreshment options along the way. It is recommended to bring your own food and drinks.
