On this centrally located meadow below the rugged rock massif of the Schrammsteine, the national park was opened in 1991. At the economic huts on the edge of the wild meadow, there is a fire pit.
The route leads on a wide, well-drivable forest road (partly mineral surface, partly asphalt) from the Kirnitzschtal to one of the most beautiful spots in the Hintere Sächsische Schweiz. Initially moderately ascending, there are gradients of up to 10% to be managed before the peak of the route, so assistance from accompanying persons is recommended.
