Podle tradice se traduje, že Barbarina byla kdysi mladá žena, která chtěla místo chození do kostela sbírat lesní plody. Když si toho všimla její matka, dceru proklela a proměnila ji v kámen. Od té doby tam žalostná dívka stojí a v této podobě zůstává dodnes.
