Directions

From the starting point, you can follow the newly created Buchenhain Forest Nature Trail (unmarked) and pick up a thing or two along the way. You’ll then continue along a wide forest road to the Kochemoor Natural Monument. From there, follow the yellow dot toward Hartenstein, which you’ll reach via an iron bridge. After a short break, continue walking along the forest trail to the second viewpoint: the Zeisigstein. At 551 meters, the Zeisigstein is the third-highest peak in Saxon Switzerland. From there, head back to the Markersbach hiking parking lot or the bus stop.
