The municipality of Struppen, along with its districts Naundorf, Thürmsdorf, Weißig, Ebenheit, and Strand, is located on the left bank of the Elbe in the "Front Saxon Switzerland" within the Rathen Elbe bow. A particular attraction is the Robert-Sterl-Haus in the Naundorf district. In the final residence and workplace of the renowned German Impressionist Robert Sterl (1867-1932), visitors can still view the artist's oil paintings, drawings, and prints today.
