Khaa Valley with rock path
In the valley, there are memorial plaques on a rock for important personalities of the region: Dr. Johann Hille, Obmann für nördliche Böhmen (Mountain Association for Northern Bohemia) from Schönlinde (Krásná Lípa). Johann Hille, chairman of the Mountain Association for Northern Bohemia from Schönlinde (Krásná Lípa), and the brothers Eduard and Franz Bienert, local historians from Schluckenau (Šluknov).
The Khaatal is part of the Kögler Trail, the oldest nature trail in Bohemia. Rudolf Kögler, a native of Schönlinden, laid it out as early as 1941.
Kyjov, a small village with small houses built in logs, is right next to Krásná Lípa. From the car park, take the red-marked trail, past the Dixmühle mill, down the Kirnitzsch river to a junction from which steep wooden steps lead on. Through a rocky cleft, you reach the Fürst-Kinsky-Höhe via the steps. There, between the treetops, you can see the opposite peaks on the other side of the valley. From there we take a rocky path. This cleverly designed path leads through rocky terrain with numerous stairs and ladders, but also with views of various rock formations.
